Semester Missionaries
Semester missionaries assist local churches, campus ministries and NAMB missionaries with evangelism and church planting. Their work concentrates on helping in community ministries, ministering to teenagers, working with campus ministries or assisting in church planting.
Semester missionaries:
- Candidates must have completed their freshman year in college by the time they begin their service.
- Candidates must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Candidates will live a lifestyle above reproach- including abstinence from any use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal or unprescribed drugs.
- Semester missionaries serve from 1 to 5 semesters.
- Semester missionaries will receive supplemental insurance coverage from NAMB.
- Semester missionaries who are members of a Southern Baptist church will receive travel and a monthly honorarium from NAMB.
- Room and board will be provided by the place of service.
- Candidates must have been enrolled in classes within the previous six months at the time of application.
